Beatitude

October Beatitude 2017

October has just passed. I recently turned to 20 and things are seemingly change in a great pace yet amazing if we see it closer.

Hmm. Too flowery, isn’t it? I guess that is enough for the flowery and wise words for opening. However, welcome November! A month that encourages us not to shave. I am not sure if it is for guys only or not but let’s make the most out of it precisely.

As usual, I am going to show you the things that I was fond of the most in October. Before anything else, I am really sorry for the late blogpost and missed last week’s blogpost. College and works have been colliding in my calendar, please help! However I surely will make it up for you.

The book that I have always wanted since it was first released. Weirdly I got the book of Connor Franta, Note to Self first before this though the first book of his is actually A Work in Progress. You can see how weird I am to read a book series backwards.

The photographs Connor captured inside have always been the best. The content itself always teaches how beautiful this life is that we need be grateful of. I got this book from a friend of mine as a birthday gift, best gift so far in my 20!

A mirror glasses with white border on top from New Look! I fell in love with it so much in the first time I saw it. I carried it everywhere while my vacation in Bali. More posts about my trip in Bali precisely! Just wait for it.

Rouge à Lèvres from Inglot! My favorite rouge color that I have always loved to stick around on daily basis. Although the color is dark for daily life but I love the sophisticated color it gives and how it matches with the color of my skin. The matte texture itself stays quite long around 5-6 hours without heavy meals. If you wanna know how much I love this Inglot, I even wore this lip matte color in the first time I met my boyfriend. Gladly he wasn’t freaked out to see me in that color. Hopefully.

“Treating you well, but I’m caught in the middle, I caught the edge of a knife and it hurts just a little…”

Remember this line? Yes! This is a song by Avicii featuring Rita Ora called Lonely Together. I once had a short piano cover of this song but I lost the footage thus sorry I could not share it with you guys. Haha!

How does it sound like? If you love it then I think we should hang out and sing it along together!

I think that’s all I have so far for October Beatitude 2017. I hope this weekend’s blogpost is delightful and insightful enough for you to read as your weekly preference. Have a great weekend everyone! Tell me your favorite things in October through the comment below💙

VSCO Filters That Fashion Bloggers Use On Instagram 2.0

Hello, Instagram Endeavors!

So glad to be back to the weekend realizing today is the second day of September! Yet also, I wanted to celebrate the most hit article with over 11.000 reads on my blog which is VSCO Filters That Fashion Bloggers Use On Instagram. As celebration I finally created another secret VSCO Filters for your weekly reference in building your own aesthetic feed on Instagram. Let’s get started with the first fashion blogger.

Lydia Elisse Emilen (@lydiaemillen)

Lydia has always been my favorite fashion blogger. All of her contents always look very sophisticated. Her feed has a lot of touch of pastels and pinks which brighten the picture she posts on Instagram. Based on my analysis, you may follow her editing skill using VSCO by using these patterns,

Ali Gordon (@aligordon89)

The funny thing is, I really adore this couple. Ali is Lydia’s fiance and they will be getting married shortly and they are such a good pair. Ali has quite orangish and bluish filter on his posts, similar to posts and videos by Mike Visual and Ryan Nangle. If you love the filters that Ali has, you may follow this VSCO patterns below,

Cher Bai (@chermycloset)

Blackish filter that everyone loves and very suits for buildings in Europe which gives a little touch of vintage and medieval. I have always admired Cher’s style and her kinda dark filters give her posts look more sophisticated. If you are interested to have a dark yet look a little bright with pretty high contrast, you may follow this VSCO pattern below,

Sooo, that’s all I have for this weekend! Honestly I have been pretty occupied lately and it kinda got me a bit stressful but I definitely will always try to stick on my schedule to always post every weekend indeed. I am sorry that I had to postpone the August Beatitude 2017 until next weekend but I guarantee I got mesmerizing things that could inspire your weekend. Thank you so much for checking out this post, I hope you like it and it would be a great hit like the previous one. Have a great weekend! Xx

How To Take Instagrammable Picture of Your Shoes

Remember the hashtag of #FromWhereIStand? Correct. This is where people engrave their creativity on taking picture of their shoes. And today, I’m going to tell you how I do it.

Mostly of my pictures on Instagram are mostly the picture of my shoes, the pictures of where I stand. I’ve been having a knack of taking picture of shoes since high school. Until one of my friends 0nce said, “Shoes. As always,”.

People might think that taking picture of shoes or legs is a piece of cake. But actually, not at all. You need to find the art in your picture. I won’t distinct people with the experts, amateurs or beginners. In my opinion, the skill of taking picture is grown by how often you do it until you could learn how to take the best picture in time. Basically, theses are pictures of my #FromWhereIStand,

I like putting the touch of nature to one of my favorite converses. Flowers, woods and leaves are few of those common things that I am really fond of.

Besides showing your shoes off, taking picture of #FromWhereIStand could also help you to show your bottom apparel, not limited to such as trousers, skirts, bags, scarfs or even watches.

Last but not least, don’t forget to look around the floor that you find artsy. There are some unique pattern of floors like I found above and I didn’t forget to take a few seconds for a picture, because who would regret it? 🙂

Instagram Guide for Black & White Feed

Craving for Black and White feed on Instagram? You’re simply on the right page!

Since I have received tons of request for photo editing guide after “VSCO Filters that Fashions Bloggers Use on Instagram” has been the most hit blog-post for the last few months until now, I decided to create one instagram account for your instation (Instagram Inspiration)!

Black and white are people’s favorite monochrome colors. Until I once heard a phrase saying, “I will stop wearing black until I see darker color”.

That sounds legit.

Alright, without any pleonastic intros, I divided 3 simple steps to help you achieving the perfect instagram feed that you’ve been yearning for!

STEP 1

Go outside, take pictures, collect moments and sift the best ones. The first photo editor I always (until it has become an obligation) use is Snapseed. For an example, I will edit a picture of coffee that I took a few weeks ago.

1 (1)

I usually adjust the brightness, contrast, ambience, highlights and shadows with this photo editor because it gives the best of the best resolution of the picture you want to edit. And that’s why I love to use this app so much!

STEP 2

When you’ve got your own perfect resolution, you better move to VSCOCAM. I am definitely sure that everyone is already familiar with this app.

2 (2)

For B&W feed, I prefer to use B5 filter because the color of black in this filter looks very dense. B5 is a free filter by VSCOCAM, thus you can download it anytime you want. Besides that, I usually adjust the strength of filter to +8 for maximum or +5 for minimum. And also, add a little touch of fade effect for approximately +3 or +2 if you want to lower the contrast.

STEP 3

One more step for photo editing. The last photo editor that I use is Afterlight. If you want to give a little touch of frame around your picture, you may add it for approximately +35.

3 (3)

For the shape of its frame is definitely up to you. You can use round, hexagonal, triangle or anything. I prefer square because I want to accentuate more the essence of the picture not the art of the picture itself.

STEP 4

People usually post quotes to express what they’re feeling at the moment, but to me, not really. I use quotes to intensify the aesthetic touch for my instagram feed. Thus, I usually keep several quotes on my phone before uploading it.

4 (4)

After the picture has been perfectly edited, now it’s time for you to adjust your instagram feed. I wanted to create a chess feed, and I finally found the pattern for this feed, :

with frame + no frame + with frame + no frame + quote + no frame + with frame + no frame + with frame

But however, you can imagine it by yourself for your own perfect feed. And this is how mine looks like,

5 (5)

Voila! Interested enough to do the following guides? If you are, you can get yourself updated with the latest instagram feed on @lefleurenoire because I will update more new filters with different aesthetics for your instation! 🙂

7 Photo Editors I Have On My Phone

A cake wouldn’t look pretty without icing, and so is a photo. A photo wouldn’t look beautiful without filter.

I like spending my free time editing pictures on my phone, creating new filters on my own and enjoy the beauty. Besides editing pictures, I absolutely like taking pictures. People think I use SLR/DSLR camera or any other expensive ones because the quality of my posts on instagram look very clear. Actually I only use my old Sony CyberShot Digital Camera with 10.1 megapixel, but I’m still saving to get the new one so I can do vlogging 🙂

Here are my favorite 10 photo editors I use on my phone,

technobuffalocom

VSCOCAM

It must be the most popular one, I think you already know about this one better than me, eh? Tumblr girls mostly use this app for their pictures.

makrdotco

Afterlight

The dusty effect and polaroid frame are the favorite ones from this app. I love the filters but honestly not as much as I do with the filters by vscocam.

theiospostdotsquarespacecom

Snapseed

I think this one more fits with photographers or the ones who tend to use lack of filter or maybe not even use any filters. It’s better to adjust the brightness, contrast, highlights and stuff using snapseed because I think their quality is way higher than any other apps.

PicsArt-iPhone5-2

PicsArt

The most useful one, I think this app is like windows 8 because everything at once. It has a lot of features, such as various filters, stickers, frames, background and many more. I usually edit my pic to get mirror effect with picsart.

fragmentexamples

Fragment

To the ones who like prismatic photo effects, I think this one is good for you.

anightowlblogcom

Rhonna Designs

This one is my favorite to make ads for my giveaway. You can immediately go to this app to add some cool quotes after editing your pic on Fragment, so tumblr!

screen568x568

Polypic

Make amazing and beautiful photos by various polygons! And also, if you want to blur something, this app is the right one. Never thought blurry pictures could be finally called fine art.

So, those are my favorite photo editors I always use to edit my pictures before uploading them on ig. But most of the time, I use VSCOCAM. Kindly follow my instagram ( @pranichia ) to also get the latest updates of stylebychia!

VSCO Filters That Fashion Bloggers Use On Instagram

Have you been thinking about what filter that your favorite fashion bloggers use for their pictures on Instagram? This time, I am going to reveal three classified VSCO filters that these fashion bloggers (whom I like) always use on instagram.

So I’ve been keeping up with VSCOCAM by drowning my skill into its nitty gritty. Isn’t it so boring to see the same old filter such as F2, SE3, HB1, HB2, etc without any retouch and that’s it. Then I’ve finally found a few awesome patterns which I think these patterns are quite but surely similar with the filters that these fashion bloggers always use on Instagram, okay so let’s get started!

1. Andy Torres (@stylescrapbook)

Her posts on instagram are always adorable which always make people say “her pictures are goddess!”.

HB1 doesn’t look good for dark pictures but looks good for selfies. As you can see on Andy’s pictures, the original pictures of its filter is bright already, so if you want to restart your instagram feed with this filter, I suggest you to take more bright pictures.

2. Nicole Ciotti (@nicholeciotti)

Nicole’s pictures on instagram look reddish and bright. It’s also because of her reddish hair and the effect of the filter she uses, I assume she uses SE2 or C1 preset on vscocam.

C1 looks good for selfies if you add a little bit of exposure around +1 or +2 and lowering the sharpness of C1 preset from +12 to +6 or +7.

3. Gizele Oliveira (@giizeleoliveira)

Looks fade and reddish without a touch of contrast. I assume she uses F2 for her pictures.

F2 might give different result for particular skin color since its high contrast with a little touch of fade could make your skin darker or probably brighter. This filter pattern looks perfect for summer pictures.

What do you think about these filters? I hope you find them useful!

Take some great pictures, try to use one of these filters and take a chance to be like these fashion bloggers too. Before taking my cue to leave, check out a short documentary film of mine to check out the color grading in video I usually use for vlog,

Hope you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for watching x
