VLOG | Brunch at Common Grounds

Hello, Loves! Back to another weekend of September and I am so glad that I just finished with the Model United Nations conference. It went great and I spent for almost 5 days working in the conference discussing about the most neglected humanitarian crisis in the world at Lake Chad Basin and human capital crisis in African States. I was representing Libya and it was stressful yet fun!

This time I will be showing you one of my favorite places to have brunch at. They are renowned by serving the best of the best Western brunch like Eggs Benedict. But this time, I will be showing another menu of them. One of the dishes I ordered was Salted Caramel Pancake.

Look at the perfect plating and the caramelized banana in there, perfectly made with love. Oh, stop drooling over there. Instead of writing and spending too many words, let me make you drooling over some other dishes by checking this vlog out. Enjoy!

What do you think? I really love the foods they have in there, the vibes of the cafe is amazing but it would be much more amazing if it ain’t located in the mall however the foods they have there are really worth to taste.

That’s all I have for this weekend, I hope you like it and thanks for watching! Have a great weekend x

KADO, Hidden Japanese Restaurant in South Jakarta

Japanese restaurant. Salmon sashimi. Sushi. Dayum!

I think I just found myself drooling over the dishes I just mentioned. Ah, I am so hungry!

Enough with the intro, this time I am going to bring you to the hidden gem I found in South Jakarta. It’s actually a quiet popular restaurant but also a very unknown to be found because of its hidden location in Ayana Hotel Jakarta. The place is very popular to be visited by real Japanese, so when you come, you somehow will feel the real ambience of Japan because of its surroundings.

Now enough with the environment chit-chats, let’s get started with the dishes. Yee-ha!

This might look small but the bowl is actually really big. Very excellent for the hungry ones, just like me! The first dish to be reviewed will be Chicken Katsu Don.

Excellent plating. Tasty smells. Very amazing for the visual look. At the first bite, your tongue will be served with tasty sweet rice along with the cut onions. This deep fried chicken cutlet on top of rice tasted quiet sweet because it was also contained with soy sauce I believe (I am not a food expert but this is what exactly it tasted like). It costed for 75 IDR and I would say it is worth it for the hungry because I couldn’t even be able to finish it.

The second dish to be reviewed would be Gyu Stamina Don. I was wondering why the name is Stamina, so I asked the waitress then I got the answer! She said because it was also served with fresh egg yolk so that’s why the name is Stamina. Hmm now I see. This grilled beef on top of garlic tasted not so far like Yakiniku I guess. It tasted great, and I believe you would get stuffed easier because it contained a lot of protein. It costed for 88 IDR. That’s why I got salad in hand too.

Just like the Japanese culture, ocha shimasho (Let’s do tea, or take a break over something to drink). A hot tea has always been great for the companion of Japanese foods. Therefore, ocha no jikan (time for tea)!
