KADO, Hidden Japanese Restaurant in South Jakarta

Japanese restaurant. Salmon sashimi. Sushi. Dayum!

I think I just found myself drooling over the dishes I just mentioned. Ah, I am so hungry!

Enough with the intro, this time I am going to bring you to the hidden gem I found in South Jakarta. It’s actually a quiet popular restaurant but also a very unknown to be found because of its hidden location in Ayana Hotel Jakarta. The place is very popular to be visited by real Japanese, so when you come, you somehow will feel the real ambience of Japan because of its surroundings.

Now enough with the environment chit-chats, let’s get started with the dishes. Yee-ha!

This might look small but the bowl is actually really big. Very excellent for the hungry ones, just like me! The first dish to be reviewed will be Chicken Katsu Don.

Excellent plating. Tasty smells. Very amazing for the visual look. At the first bite, your tongue will be served with tasty sweet rice along with the cut onions. This deep fried chicken cutlet on top of rice tasted quiet sweet because it was also contained with soy sauce I believe (I am not a food expert but this is what exactly it tasted like). It costed for 75 IDR and I would say it is worth it for the hungry because I couldn’t even be able to finish it.

The second dish to be reviewed would be Gyu Stamina Don. I was wondering why the name is Stamina, so I asked the waitress then I got the answer! She said because it was also served with fresh egg yolk so that’s why the name is Stamina. Hmm now I see. This grilled beef on top of garlic tasted not so far like Yakiniku I guess. It tasted great, and I believe you would get stuffed easier because it contained a lot of protein. It costed for 88 IDR. That’s why I got salad in hand too.

Just like the Japanese culture, ocha shimasho (Letā€™s do tea, or take a break over something to drink). A hot tea has always been great for the companion of Japanese foods. Therefore, ocha no jikan (time for tea)!

You Deserve Desserts!

I’ve actually been being a food enthusiast nowadays. I went to several places and tasted various chocolate desserts because I have a knack on seeing, eating, drinking and enjoying chocolate. Instead of spending too much time reading the introduction, let’s get started with the first dessert!

Ocha and Bella

I went there in the morning around ten or eleven. As I walked in, the ambience of its restaurant seemed relaxing. Maybe because I went there in the morning and people were still sleeping because it was weekend. As I turned right, I saw a very long kitchen which exposed the atmosphere and the layout of its kitchen to the visitors table. I never thought that they actually had many chefs there, the chefs welcomed me nicely by saying “Hi! Welcome to Ocha and Bella”. It was a warm greeting.

I sat outside because I was actually looking for electric socket to charge my laptop up. I decided to order Torta Al Cioccolato for dessert on i cremosi creamy menu. I waited for around twenty minutes and I got this,

Dark chocolate tart with whipped cream and mint gelato. As I pushed the spoon down the tart, it was really creamy. It tasted like real chocolate. It didn’t taste sugary because they gave whipped cream and mint gelato as sauce. My life had gone better than ever after I had taste that. I was actually having a real bad mood. Thanks Ocha and Bella!

Odysseia

The next dessert I ordered was Oreo Chocolate Tart because I’m a big fan of Oreo. I sat outside again because show me what it feels like, now I’m on the outside. Okay, no more Calvin Harris. The place was smaller but cozy. As I enjoyed talking with my sister, the paradise came to my table.

Oreo Chocolate Tart with half strawberry on it. I waited for about twenty or twenty five minutes. Quite too long for a piece of cake but fortunately, my long wait was paid off. It tasted really good even too good? It wasn’t just a tart, it was like soft chocolate texture mixed with soft Oreo until words can’t explain how good it was. I went there in afternoon and enjoyed the moment til night. I had to leave at 7.30 because the mosquito started biting me.

Pancious

Last but not least, Pancious is like the house of desserts. I ordered Coco Berry with extra chocolate chip ice cream on top because it was chef’s recommendation.

Red juicy strawberries and chocolate fudge, seriously really sexy combo. I liked the plating because it looked clean and tidy and also appealing. The taste was amazing, I love theĀ chocolate fudge because it didn’t taste too sweet and it could balance with the ice cream.

So, that’s all I’ve got! I hope this dessert recommendation is helpful for you. If you have foods to recommend and want me to review them, feel free to comment below and share with the world! Have a great weekend ā¤
