Made My First Wooden Amplifier with JanSport Campus Ambassadors

Hello, Good Peeps! I am so glad to be finally back to blogging since I was caught up with so many things lately. It had been a month I did not post something here on my blog and I thought I had to wipe the dust off. But here I am, with my very first wooden amplifier where I almost cut my finger yet so worth to try! I mean not to try cutting your finger.

First thing’s first, let’s meet these JanSport Campus Ambassadors Indonesia 2017. I am really happy to be in the same circle with these cool peeps. There are only six of us but we are really excited to see how far JanSport activities will take us next!

So, the first activity of JSCA is creating our own wooden amplifier which took place in ONX Creative Studio. We were assisted with the people there and you have no idea how fun it was! This wooden amplifier will allow you to use your smartphone as a brand new speaker without cords or batteries needed. Awesome, isn’t it?

It could take around 6 hours to make the wooden amplifier because there were a few stages to take which consisted of measuring the woods into 5 wood pieces and 1 acrylic for the cover; cutting the woods; sanding the wood with sandpaper; glueing the pieces into a wooden amplifier; fitting all in; and the fun part is coloring.

Honestly it took me around 30 minutes to measure the wood pieces somehow. And when it came to the wood cutting, I almost shattered the wood, my fingers, and the machine at the same I suppose. The power was too high and I barely got it stabilized until I had to ruin my wood pieces. Amateur, pardon!

Long short story, I had to sand the wood and arrange all the pieces into one wooden amplifier with glue and put on a metal oil funnel which function to enhance the sound. Frankly I got trouble while arranging the pieces because there was one piece that could not fit in and I had to keep on sanding it over and over again. It happened because my wood cutting skill was completely lousy. To be honest, haha! After that, we could color up the wood pieces and the metal oil funnel. But don’t forget to let it dry first after glueing them into one piece.

Voila! Our own wooden amplifier is done! No batteries and cords needed, your original speaker is ready to use. I had so much fun in creating this wooden amplifier though it took me hours to finish it since I was the second from the last who made it. However, you guys can give it a try to make your own wooden amplifier at home. All you need is just woods, tools to cut the woods which I think you can use saw, glues, and paint to color up your amplifier. Sounds easy?

Since it is going to the end of the year, get 50% off for a JanSport bag through this link and get ready to mingle! So, that’s how my very first of December went by.
